Wow, I just recently discovered Kari Gregg, starting with Spoils of War and am now working my way through her books. I've loved each of her stories so far.....Yeah, they all belong on my guilty-pleasure bookshelf. xP There's lots of sex, but it is HOT and not overtiring. To me, that is! It's a unique perspective on the shifter world, focusing on the omega of the pack. This is definitely NOT a story that will be for everyone, and I completely understand why some reviewers did not like it. However...it worked for me. x) I would also recommend A Thread of Deepest Black for another unique take on werewolves.
