This reminds me a lot of the Song of the Fallen series as Rachel Haimowitz. Although the writing is not on the same level as that series, this is still a pleasant read. I was startled to find out that Nadei was Liall's brother, from the way Liall kept mourning how he had a long ago love, or how initially he kept himself away from Scarlet because he learned to guard his heart, I thought he was talking about a lover. So I'm not sure if the incestuous undertone is intentional or not...
