The beginning was intriguing, with a completely new twist on shifters. However, I guess I had too high hopes and so was sorely disappointed when mid-way the story became predictable with the MC all of a sudden acquiring super incredible powers and ending with a melodramatic showdown with the one-dimensional villain. The sexual tension was built up in the first half, I do love my alphas, but alas, the love scenes were brief and disappointing, so in the end I couldn't find any redeeming factor in the second half. :(
Seems Blacque/Bleu still remains the only shifter book I've liked so far.
