Tigers and Devils - Sean Kennedy I was really enjoying this book. I cracked up many times, Simon's snarkiness definitely suited me. I enjoyed reading about his relationship with Declan. This could easily have been a 5 star read for me if not for the last 10% where I lost all sympathy for one of the MCs. Declan's behavior in the last part of this book labeled him as an inconsiderate jerk and he never redeemed himself imo. He needed to be the one who did some serious groveling, not Simon alone. And I certainly am not a fan of when authors decide to throw in THE GREAT BIG MISUNDERSTANDING in the last few chapters to create unnecessary drama and uncharacteristic overreactions. I lose interest when adult characters start acting like teenagers. It just left a sour taste in my mouth and ultimately ruined the book for me.

I hate to be such a downer, because I know many people will enjoy this book, as you can tell by the many high ratings, so I don't want to discourage people from reading it. I just can't say I enjoyed it after the frustrating ending.

As you can see, this book left me fuming and just feeling....bleh. -_- Maybe my head and feelings will clear up and I'll be in a more forgiving mood the next time I decide to reread this..

Not sure whether I can go on to the sequel but I probably will be suckered into it by all the good ratings just like this one. The MCs will hopefully be matured by then at least.

2.5 stars grudgingly rounded up because I really was enjoying 80% of this.
